Support Voting by Mail & Keep the Pressure On!

Yowzah…lots going on. Let’s dive right in.

In addition to opposing the xenophobic anti-Sharia law that we posted about yesterday, we’re also asking people to contact the members of the House Judiciary committee to support SB 305. This is the bill that would allow counties the option of voting by mail for the special election, which would save LOTS of money and make it easier for people to vote in this important election. There is concern that this bill will be squashed in committee even though it had bipartisan support in the House.

Click here for all of the information you need to contact the members of the House Judiciary Committee about both SB 97 and SB 305. Lola Sheldon-Galloway of Great Falls is a priority target and we’ve been told that direct emails are better than using the online form so consider sending her an email: Rep.Lola.Sheldon-Galloway@mt.gov.

Efforts at the national level are still focused on fighting back against the bill the GOP released to repeal the ACA and demanding the resignation of Attorney General Sessions for lying under oath about contact with with the Russian government. Click here for all of the information you need to take action on these national issues.

  1. I participated in Senator Daines teletownhall yesterday and I was appalled that he felt it was format worthy of anybodys time. He spends more time talking at people than anything. He did take some difficult questions but then can skirt around items and cherry pick statistics with no chance for a rebuttal. For these reasons I will be calling him to urge for a real town hall.
