Governor Bullock is writing an amendment into a general election bill (HB 83) that adds the language from the mail-in ballot bill (SB 305). This amendment would allow counties the option of using voting by mail for the special election, saving hundreds of thousands of dollars and making it easier for more people to vote.
This amended bill will go back to the house, where it only needs 51 votes to pass. The blast motion on the SB 305 got exactly 51 votes so we need to make sure all of those people vote yes again. Please be extra respectful in your communication about HB 83 to avoid ruffling any feathers.
