As many of you know, Missoula Rises has an active Facebook group. Many members rely on it for information about action items and events, but we know that Facebook doesn’t work for everybody. It can be overwhelming, spiral into a huge time suck, and has some privacy concerns for activists.
To provide an alternative, we have created a Missoula Rises team on Slack. If you aren’t familiar with Slack, it’s a free tool that makes it easier for teams to communicate. This series of short videos provides an overview of what it is, why it is helpful, and how to get started. Slack can be used in your browser but is more powerful if you install the app on your computer and/or mobile device. (It works with both Mac and Windows.
If you’d like to give Slack a try, email email@example.com and we will invite you to the group. Hope to see you in there! 🙂
