Til the Love Runs Out

Hello Missoula! I wanted to throw a little bit of positive energy and focus your way as we head into the weekend. First, thank you for your continued commitment and bravery as we keep moving forward.

I mean let’s face it: this is tiring. And it is something new every single day. And that “something new” usually means a full on attack on our democracy and individual rights. So yeah. THANK YOU for sticking with it, making resistance your daily routine. THANK YOU for continually putting yourself out there and leading the uncertain charge with love and bravery. It matters. Its works. We will keep going.

If your part of the resistance is choosing to support a particular candidate or getting out the vote then keep at it. There is a little over a week left. (PS – sooooo hard to keep to our commitment to not endorse/disparage candidates…we are almost there! #selfcontrol)

One issue I would encourage you to focus on is Healthcare. It is going to adversely impact our families, friends, businesses, community, state, nation in devastating ways. We have to use our collective power to shut that down. We do that by contacting our Senators. By making ourselves visible. By telling our stories. We have to force our Senators to vote against the AHCA.

To that end, this Sunday at 1:00 at Caras Park Missoula Rises is co-sponsoring a Health Care For All Rally. We have an amazing line up of speakers to talk about the real impacts. We have ACTIONS you can take. We also have live music and food trucks. And chants. Don’t forget the chants – the best part! 😉 The larger the crowd, the stronger the message to our Senators.
The larger the crowd, the more people are educated on this issue.

So keep at it. Keep fighting for your country until the love runs out.

“I’ve got my mind made up, and I can’t let go.
I’m killing every second until it sees my soul.
I’ll be running ’til the love runs out, ’til the love runs out.
And we’ll start a fire and we’ll SHUT IT DOWN,
Til the love runs out.”
